When J. Ralph Dotson started this company in 1936, his vision was to provide customers with quality products and professional service while building a business that would be well balanced with the automotive and commercial segments of the lubricants market. Over the years business expanded to meet the changes in the automotive industry, servicing new customers who opened quick lube facilities, new and used car dealers, convenience store distributors, auto parts stores, grocery store chains, fleets, commercial and industrial end-users.

In 1966 Ralph was joined by his son, J.R Dotson, who took over leadership eight years later. Continuing the mission to help customers meet the challenges of the evolving industry, the growing business soon required two more locations in Colorado. Our Durango location opened in 1978 and our Grand Junction location in 1995. Today all three locations proudly carry the full lines of Pennzoil, Quaker State and Castrol, in addition to many other top brand names.

Joining us recently is J.R.'s son, David Dotson, having just graduated from Texas A&M University. After 65 years of successful business, the Dotson family commitment to excellence continues to bring us forward into the future as advances in the automotive industry change and becomes more demanding. As a distributor and consultant, we look forward to the opportunities we'll have to serve our customers.
